An expat oasis in the Persian Gulf

People are drawn to Bahrain for its exciting career prospects and laid-back lifestyle. The country is an archipelago of 33 islands – and most expats live in its capital, Manama.

Although an Islamic state, Bahrain is considered to be more liberal than neighbours Saudi Arabia and Qatar. This tiny Kingdom in the Persian Gulf is a melting pot of cultures, with expats and migrant workers making up more than half the population.
